Robert Phang should give Nazri Aziz a break SATIRE lthough, I have a high opinion of Tan Sri Datuk Robert Phang Miow Sin, I am not amused by the statements he made against Nazri Aziz, the so-called de facto Minister for Law, who declared that he would fight tooth and nail to ensure Chinese representation in a Barisan Nasional government even if the Chinese component party, namely MCA. fails to secure a single parliamentary seat in the coming polls. What is wrong with that? Nazri, may be a hothead, but he is a respected Malay leader, and what he has stated is very noble in championing the Chinese cause. It is not an insult to the Chinese as I believe that MCA leaders too cannot believe their ears, and are still grinning like Cheshire Cats at the ‘lifeline’ given by UMNO should MCA fail to wrest any seats in the next election. Moreover, if Ibrahim Ali finds out, you can bet that he will go after Nazri to protest his siding with the Chinese. Whether the statement is supposed to elevate Nazri Aziz in the eyes of the Chinese community is up to them and remains to be seen, but it is obvious Nazri doesn’t care too much for Chinese sympathy. Already he is a hero among the Malays and that is all that matters. New found champion! Nazri’s only weakness is his passion to ensure that Chinese interests are not jeopardized, should BN win 90% of the vote in the next election. No, BN is not deterred by the threat of mass electoral fraud, gerrymandering, citizenship for votes, postal vote fraud or the thousands of phantom voters. BN is confident of winning big in the next election. Also Nazri does not need to look into his own backyard, as the welfare of his Malay brothers and sisters are already well taken care of, leaving him time to focus on the plight of the poor Chinese who may lose total representation in Parliament.

It is also pointless to dwell on Dr Chua Soi Lek’s pornographic background as unsuitable for a government minister’s post, as we must remember that MCA members chose him to be their President, and he rightly deserves a post, should UMNO care to offer him any. His ‘ingenious’ statement was merely to warn the Chinese that should MCA loses, the Chinese will lose total representation, which UMNO would not want to see happen. And that is the basis for Nazri’s magnanimous offer. The MAS foot-in-the-mouth Not too long ago, Nazri Aziz was seen interfering with GLCs by instructing them to appoint a favoured legal firm to help them withdraw their cases against former MAS chairman, Tajudin Ramli. We should not penalize Nazri. After all he is looking out for a friend in need, and think of the vast amounts the government would save if the GLC’s were to drop the charges! Tajuddin is already suing a web portal for RM200million for inaccurate reporting while MAS is being sued again for RM240million by US GIRO – Warranty House International, Inc. If MAS is left to recover without any hindrance, it may do so one day in the future. MAS is still financially strong and backed by fixed-assets unlike debt laden carrier Air Asia. It is because Nazri is a lawyer that he can comprehend basic principles of corporate law, while his directive was purportedly misinterpreted as it was meant to be ‘advice’ instead, to suborn the board of directors of the GLCs involved. But Malaysia was never a functioning democracy.

It is also not alarming or preposterous of Nazri to state that “The system allows us to appoint senators and we need to have representatives from the non-Malay community.” It won’t add to the public scepticism that appointments to the Senate is being abused as a backdoor entry into government. After all, it has always been this way, as comrades in arms always have to take care of the fallen ones. Tan Sri Phang also stressed that; “a general election is part of the democratic process to allow the electorates to select the leaders whom they would want to govern over them and the country. “If the Chinese electorate has rejected the Chinese leaders from MCA, who is Nazri to force upon us, to accept such leaders as our representatives in government?” “Let us be reminded that being elected to form the government is part of the democratic process. It erodes the fundamentals of democracy when a government is formed not from elected representatives but by back door appointments from politicians who have failed. A government post is not a trophy for political gratification.” All though this part I fully agree with Tan Sri, but we need to realize that this nation never had a functional democracy in the past fifty years to begin with, and to expect BN to play by the rules is like asking a cow to climb a tree. So I believe that Nazri shouldn’t recant his statement after all, And lastly we need to be realistic, as we simply cannot associate UMNO with the wise words quoted by Tan Sri Phang below, as UMNO does not thrive on humility, neither are they not arrogant, but they think that they have to be strong enough to rule this nation: “HUMBLENESS IS GOOD VIRTUE, ARROGANCE SHALL FALL, THE MEEK WILL RULE THE WORLD”. – Malaysia Chronicle

Give Nazri a break? Zul probably has Choonmei eating out of her hand. Lemme guess, Zul owns Choonmei via neurotech and is modulating the forum? How can anyone give Nazri a break? Representation by puppets without equality is no representation at all. You can try to lie to the people some more, it won’t work. And ppor Choonmei has lost both her mind and ethics. Zul has no honesty to the equality off the minority citizens IMHO, and his bold faced lying is just too obvious now. Typically BUMI. YOu have more than once conveniently brushed aside calls for equalitym discussions on equality. Malaysian Chronicle is now a tool of UMNO, quietly so but tool for certain. Disappointing AND no honest word on ending APARTHEID from DAP as well. Probably the family dynasty party is not in control of itself anymore.

VOTERS! ALWAYS REMEMBER TO VOTE FOR an MP or Assemblyman who will endorse : 1) Freedom from Apartheid/Fascism 2) Freedom from Religious-Persecution/Religious-Supremacy. 3) Equality for all ethnicities and faiths in all aspects of policy, Law and Constitution. ; the race or faith will not matter so long as they endorse the 3 items. When apart from asking to give soneone who wants puppets as minority MPs who accept APARTHEID, a break, are they ending the 2 classes of citizen? Bumi and Non-Bumi? What kind of article is this? Cover the subject casually but miss out the issue of equality? Robert Phang should NOT give Nazri a break. Nazri should give ALL the minorities a break by endorsing ending Bumiputra Apartheid. Anyone, whatever statement they make, is always alarming or preposterous if they do not endorse with intent to grant :

1) Freedom from Apartheid/Fascism
2) Freedom from Religious-Persecution/Religious-Supremacy. (address UNHCR Article 18 for Malays)
3) Equality for all ethnicities and faiths in all aspects of policy, Law and Constitution.

This response thus sums up the raison d’etre for Article 1 of the UNHCR and the basis of racial tensions in Malaysia.
