Hadi not wanting to contest in GE-13 a sign something is wrong – Awang Adek – Sunday, 29 January 2012 07:42
KOTA BAHARU — The intention voiced by Pas President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang not to contest in the 13th general election clearly indicates that there is something wrong in the party, according to Kelantan Umno Liaison Committee deputy chairman Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussein.
He said the public statement made by the party president was something really extraordinary and was a sign that the party was passing though a severe crisis.
“This (decision) is probably resulting from the conflict in PAS, including from the sacking of Selangor PAS commissioner Datuk Dr Hasan Ali.
“This situation will probably give a major blow to PAS spiritual leader, Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, as he is the one who should be making such a decision after holding the post of Kelantan Menteri Besar for too long,” he said.
Earlier, Dr Awang Adek witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU)between AFPM Lifestyle Sdn Bhd and Jalinan Prospek (M) Bhd here.

Save for the Hudud issue, PAS is really the ethical soul of Pakatan Rakyat now. Removal of Nepotistic family blocs? – PAS leads. Term limitless leaders stepping aside? PAS leads. Fiat currency replcement with PMs? PAS leads. If PAS can endorse with intent to grant :
1) Freedom from Apartheid/Fascism
2) Freedom from Religious-Persecution/Religious-Supremacy. (address UNHCR Article 18 for Malays)
3) Equality for all ethnicities and faiths in all aspects of policy, Law and Constitution.
;as well as ensure that non-Muslim entertainments are fully allowed in their entirety in the appropriate districts (i.e. obviously non-Muslim and non-religious areas), even the Indians and Chinese would be happy to vote for PAS.
PAS btw needs to make the PAS supporter’s members FULL members with equal votes as well.
Good work Hadi, a political party is not a family clan or clique association, insular as Hadi is and being from PAS, the other members of Pakatan Coalition should learn from a wise man – end all term limitless politicians and nepotistic family blocs in all political parties!
Umno goes after Guan Eng’s daughter now: She ‘changed for the better’ after NS – by YB Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng – Saturday, 28 January 2012 12:41
My family and I are upset at the statement made by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in Sibu yesterday, dragging my daughter into his latest spin that the National Service (NS) training programme is now widely accepted and trusted by parents for the positive effect it has on their children.
Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid claimed that both my father and me had seen how my daughter had changed for the better after attending the programme in Balik Pulau NS camp in Penang.
This is untrue. My daughter is a good kid and is the same before and after joining the NS Camp. Both my father and I had never told the Defence Minister as claimed by him and neither had we thanked him for it.
Respect my daughter’s right to privacy
My daughter was selected to join the NS Camp for the 2008-9 session and she had duly complied. We have never talked about my daughter’s experiences, good or bad in NS, because she is still under 21 and a student who is not involved in politics.
My family and I love our daughter and want to protect her privacy. We have shielded her from the glare of publicity so that she can grow up and enjoy life with her friends as a normal kid. We hope that Datuk Seri Ahmad can respect my daughter’s privacy and not drag her into his political games to justify the NS programme.
If children of politicians venture into public life involving public interest, then they are subject to public scrutiny. However for BN leaders to try to use my children as political capital to boost BN when they are still studying and not involved in public life is wrong and regrettable.
Even my son was accused of molest and till now there is no apology
This is not the first time that my children have been unfairly targeted by BN and UMNO leaders. Last year, my 15 year old son was defamed by UMNO leaders and UMNO Online for sexually molesting his classmate and that I have to pay RM200,000 to cover-up the scandal and transfer my son to another school. A picture of the alleged girl victim of my son was even put up by the UMNO blogs.
This cruel and barbaric lie by UMNO against my minor son was quickly exposed when the picture of the girl victim was discovered to be a fake and belonged to a Hong Kong chess grandmaster who had never met me or my son. So far no UMNO leaders had apologised to my son and me for this vicious lie that had caused my son to miss school for 2 days.
Leave my kids alone
I urge UMNO and BN leaders to throw your lies at me if you must but please leave my children alone. They are still studying and are not in politics. By continuing to drag my children with lies or misrepresentation, is an act of desperation that shows their lack of moral values and absence of ethical judgment.
Have BN and UMNO leaders run of ideas and ideals that their only political capital is to preach lies and hate not only against PR leaders but also at our children?

LGE is better off not even talking about the matter and giving absolutely no oxygen to those who have sunk so low as to, this time, use his daughter to score cheap points (i.e. LGE will sell his own children for political power). Just like when it was his son, LGE is milking it a bit too much.It is not that people do not know scUMNO etc are a bunch of low-class pondlife and would resort to this kind of antics, everyone do know that – that is, after all, scUMNO’s stock in trade! It cannot but operate like the low lives they are! LGE should ignore this new round of attempt at cheap scoring of worthless points, he is no naive operator himself, stand above all these, leave his children out of it all, not mention a word as squealing or bleeding indignation is what those monkeys are after. LGE can stir it for all it he thinks is worth but at the end of it all, we already know scUMNO etc would behave exactly the way he describes. LGE should just treat it like no skin off his nose, water off a duck’s back – or where justified, a lawsuit or two if there is any case to be made.

Doesn’t surprise since DAP was equally withering when KJ went for his stint. Stop this political points scoring, its detestable, more so when NS itself does not have an abstention or opt out option. Forced Military Conscription is a very backward thing to endorse, don’t insult the voters and stop militarising the populace.
